Mastering watercolor painting

Mastering watercolor: it is a journey

You can expect a lot of learning; a lot of practicing and you will definitely find out something which you did not know before if you would like to paint with me. I take a lot of pride in boosting one’s creativity as opposed to mechanical copying and using paint without any knowledge. Along with nature watercolor and acrylic painting, fall art classes will be an ongoing journey into creativity and hopefully result in some students mastering watercolor.

Nature art: a wonderful opportunity

Our eyes best notice what is around us if we focus, pay attention and observe. Fall colors are intense and make any composition look impressive. We have created numerous fall watercolors before, and they always came out nice. Acrylic definitely is a very suitable medium for depicting fall scenes, especially with grey and blue colors of sky.

Democratic nature of art

This season, fall art classes are designed to better suit teens between 10 and 14 years, and the evening group is for any age adults and youth. Teens from 15 years can join it also. Art is very democratic: one works on their own canvas or paper, and nobody cares whether you have experience or not. Art classes are for learning. If you have never painted before, give this skill some time to develop.

Online versus live art classes

When you are sitting on one side of screen, nobody can check or see how exactly you are applying advice or tip. In a live class, the instructor can see right away whether the paint is too wet, too dry, student uses too little of paint or there is way too much of it. The instructor can see right away who understood the technique and who is struggling with it. Full article:

Inese’s Creative Artspace has new location

Inese’s Creative Artspace studio moved to South Ajax at the beginning of August. It is a beautiful place with indoor and outdoor painting opportunities. Its location is perfect since it is quite central, but offers fantastic nature all around. I hope you will sign up and enjoy our fall art classes.

    1. Thanks! I think settings are always nice in these classes. Photos show the old gallery, the new will be set up once I return home from Latvia.

    1. Thanks Shawn! These are ashberries. I used the Latvian type of rowan tree since when I was drawing and sketching it while I was visiting in Latvia. I personally always prefer still life, however, I do not mind drawing or painting anything. I never paint, for instance mountains, because I have never known them or seen for long time enough to capture the essence. I think one needs to know their subject, at least I think so since I mostly use the actual scene or item without taking any pictures. I also think that my goal was never the actual subject and life-likeness, but the impression it makes.

  1. I do wish I lived close to you… and take your classes. I may try and find someone again this fall… as when I tried in the last time I only had one lesson and then got pneumonia and missed the rest. Hope all goes well for you.. Diane

    1. Classes are good for anybody who wants to find out more or get immediate answers to their questions.
Missing classes due to health issues happens a lot. You told you loved the first class.
I am currently in Latvia, I will be back in September.
I have plenty to do upon my return.
I think it will work out. Google will send me the postcard by August 29, and I will be able to put myself back on Google maps once I receive the confirmation code for the new address.
I do not want to speculate, but most likely something will happen.

    1. Thanks Julie! The environment definitely matters when it comes to creation!

    1. Thanks, Brenda! I hadn’t heard from you for a long time. It is nice to have a word from you.
I am in Latvia right now, going back soon.
Pictures show the last class at my previous place. As soon as I am back home, I will set up the new classroom. It will be even larger and I think even better.
I will check out what you’ve been up to after a small while.
