Virtual marketplace and my art in room settings

It’s amazing that I had no idea my art had been added to a local virtual marketplace. It was somewhat encouraging to see that my art was appreciated.

If I knew about that, I’d had kept working on new paintings instead of spending the last week in the backyard. I had intended to post images of the previously unpublished paintings also at least a week ago, but life just sometimes demands dealing with other things.

These are images of paintings which were sold, but I hadn’t actually gotten a chance to publish them anywhere.

Positive energy art

I painted at least 4 versions of “Nostalgia, gardens of dreams”. This painting was sold about 10 years ago. It’s size was 22 x 28 inches or 56 x 71 cm, acrylic on canvas.  I actually do commissions also which means one can order any size of my painting and in any colors they prefer. Variation of my own art certainly works the best.

Spring orchard, sold, Virtual arts market

The Spring orchard (20 x 16 in) was sold in 2016. One of my art students bought it. Since the pictures of paintings were taken briefly before their sale, I cannot get any better photos. This particular painting had a very nice play of colors in textures since trees and grasses are very suitable for that.

Pears and daisies, Virtual arts market

The still life I still have. It was hiding in the storage room. Pears and daisies, 12 x 16 inches or 30.5 x 41 cm; sunny still life in acrylic.

Virtual arts market

At that time which might be about 8-10 years ago, this painting was named “Flower hill”. We did it in acrylic painting classes and my painting was a demo. Its size was 16 x 20 inches or 41 x 51 cm acrylic on canvas.

Fits any style actually

A few weeks ago, I was simply playing around with placing pictures of my art in room settings. While many people would dare using only abstract art with their light, white or minimalist style, I think my paintings make each one of these rooms look great.

My art prints on Fine Art America:

Stay in touch and stay safe! I will have something new soon, especially for art students; now, that gardenworks are almost done.

  1. The paintings look wonderful in the room settings, Inese . I must have a look at this app .

    1. Thank you! These are 2 apps. I cannot recall how the one was called, maybe wall app or something? I would have to check that. I think there are very many of this type, also, if one can pay for app, you’d get nicer rooms. These are free. I still like the look. I have used time to time all kinds of them. These particular ones were on computer, not phone apps.
I agree, the look is very attractive.

    1. Thank you! I think all paintings look great on walls, that gives the feeling of presence.

    2. I think you could try checking for Wallapp either in 1 word or 2, something should come up.

    1. Thanks! I think they look real nice in rooms. Too bad, I don’t have any rooms like that. My place is all filled up with canvas, sewing machine, fabrics, papers, paints and books. No empty space to take a picture on.

    2. Sound like you are for real, and passionate, about what you do, rather than worry about your image, so your priorities are different. 🙂

    3. Well, that’s true. However, it would be nice to have some demonstration area. If this was my place, I’d attach something more to walls or create seating areas. I’m a good interior designer. It’s just so that with moving quite frequently, it makes no sense to damage walls, then fix, add extra whatever and then remove. The most I’m going for, is digging up a garden where there was none before. It’s wasted work once we move out, but I just do it anyway. I tried to count, and I have already created about 9 gardens from scratch while in Canada. Wherever I go, I leave a garden behind.

    1. Thank you very much!
They look good. I actually did this all very quickly without much adjustment and so on. The images in frames look better, but I didn’t take my time to work out every single one.
Apparently, it makes a lot of sense since it shows that not only abstract art works well in just about any room, but semi-realistic and realistic, too.

  2. With or without frames your art has such an ability to talk to the settings around it. Hope you had a happy time gardening and may this find you full of inspiration.

    1. Thank you very much!
My art can indeed make a place very attractive, cozy and inspiring. I sometimes walk around all rooms and I cannot stop adoring one or another brushwork, flow of lines, color transitions and appeal of shapes. This type of art is completely opposite, unfortunately, to the contemporary so-called art which consists of animation, kindergarten level of drawing and very sloppy color application if any. I just cannot do that, so, I suppose, I have no hope to ever get my art sold at couple of hundred thousand dollars. It’s ok, as long as there is some income which it isn’t since January. Like they say, some people fall through the cracks with government support, so, artists do. Such as myself because there are eligibility criteria, and I never sold that much that I would qualify for support now.
Gardening is great. It’s ongoing work, every day one or another thing. This particular garden looks very nice. I spent about month digging the soil and creating beds. I will feel sorry when we have to move out which will be probably next year when they raise rent again.
Other than that, it’s fantastic to be outdoors and watch everything growing. I onece wrote a poem about that, it is on lifeschool blog, probably posted some years ago.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

    2. I know. Artists have never been supported widely or sufficiently throughout history…along with other necessary workers (social service, education etc.) and still we continue to do the labor. I’m so grateful that you continue to share your care for the world through your paint and your blog. Take care.

    3. Thanks very much! I will start working on something, so much to do, not enough time.
Our art store did not have lots of acrylic paints, probably supply interrupted. I have actually pastels and watercolors, plenty of them. For a while will have not to paint less in acrylic.
While to create is so wonderful, sooner or later we all need to eat and pay bills. I think if I were younger, at least 40 like my daughter, I’d be more trying to get noticed. At this moment, I just feel tired. I still have to keep going, cannot leave things halfway done.
      I appreciate your supportive comment.
